Choosing a Cock Ring
The purpose of a cock ring is to restrict blood flow out of the penis in order to maintain an erection for a longer period of time, increase the size of an erection, and to increase the sensitivity to the head and shaft. Although some of them look a little like a mini medieval torture device it is usually just for show. Different styles of cock rings give different benefits.
Your first cock-ring: If you are a beginner to cock rings look for something flexible. Unless you are sure your penis will obey your “down boy” command, avoid the metal rings. With a firm erection, metal has little flexibility and can be difficult to remove. Beginners should use either a rubber ring Stretch or a leather version that has ‘quick release’ snaps Leather Cock Ring.
How to use: You may feel like you have just uncovered the first Rubik’s cube for the penis. Over, under, in between…the best way to approach this is to make it a game. Most cock rings go at the base of the penis, behind the scrotum. Some men like it only around the penis, some like it around both the penis and scrotum. Other cock rings strap in between each testicles. Experimentation is the key.
Tips: Trim hair around the penis and balls to avoid stray hairs getting snagged in the ring. It’s easier to slip the ring over the penis (and balls) before there is a full erection.
For the Advanced: When you are used to the sensation you can graduate to a less flexible material. Experiment with different types of pressure with cock rings that have a wider strap to stretch the scrotum, and straps that separate each individual testicle. Or try a vibrating cock ring to add some extra.
With a Partner: Both he and she can benefit from vibrating cock rings. He gets a ring that wrap around the penis to restrict blood flow out of the penis keeping it hard and sensitive, and she gets a vibrator that sits on top of the ring, inside a jelly pouch, to vibrate against the clitoris during intercourse.
Length of time to use a cock ring: 20 min is the recommend time to you use a cock ring. With adequate experience they can be worn for longer periods -- even hours. The rule is: wear it for as long as it feels comfortable. If it is too tight or left on to long you will experience tenderness, bruising or loss of sensation. Warning: If you experience any of these symptoms, remove the ring immediately and see a physician. Do not use at all if you have diabetes or circulation/vascular diseases. And remember cock rings are not a solution to serious erection problems.
What to do if you can’t get one off: Calm down. Lubricant will help to get out of a sticky situation. If this doesn’t work apply ice. This should help to bring down an erection. If you are still struggling, cut the ring off with blunt (safety) scissors and as a last resort, get to the emergency room. |
