Bedrock / Libida Privacy Policy

Don't want the whole world to know about your sex life? We understand.

We've created a completely safe place for women to learn more about sex, ask private questions, buy products and share sexy secrets and stories. That's why we promise to keep any information you give us anonymous — you choose how much or how little information to share.

We do not share email lists, membership data or other information with any businesses or organizations. We won't send you any information or products unless you request it, and all orders and billing use our business name, Bedrock, Inc. We encourage you to share your stories, tips and sex toy and DVD reviews, and to tell us what you like or want more of -- as often as you can! -- but don't worry, we'll keep it anonymous unless you tell us otherwise.

When you order:

We collect your name, email address shipping and billing information and credit card number at the time you make a purchase. We will never sell, rent or give this information to any other business or organization without your prior consent.

All orders and billing use our business name, Bedrock, Inc., as the return address. Our packaging does not give any indication of contents except when international customs forms are required. The description(s) are discreet such as toys, books, DVD.

Bedrock uses service providers for billing, web analytics and web hosting. We request information from you on our order form, contact information (like name and shipping address) and financial information (like credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill orders only. If we have trouble processing an order, this contact information is used to get in touch with you.  If you purchase a gift certificate from us, we will ask you for the name and email address of the recipient in order to fulfill the purchase request. The information is not used for any other purpose.

When you give us your credit card number:
All sensitive information, like your credit card number, is encrypted and protected with the safest encryption software in the industry -- SSL. This software makes placing your order online as safe as giving your credit card number to a store clerk. We do not share any credit card information and only store it with your consent.

When you sign-up:
Member registration helps us personalize your shopping experience. Because we tie your registration to a password, no one has access to your order history except for you. Although registering can help us offer you more products and information that are directly relevant to you, you do not need to register with Libida to read stories or participate.
Bedrock does not share, sell, rent, or trade personal idetifying information with third parties for their promotional purposes.

When you sign up for the newsletter:
Bedrock/Libida provides its users with the option of opting out of all mailings. Therefore, when there is a choice of using information for purposes other than what the information was originally collected for, Libida will present the user with an opt out box. Users who no longer wish to receive our newsletter or promotional materials from our partners may opt out of receiving these communications by replying to unsubscribe in the subject line in the email or email us at contactus@libida.com.

When you Tell-a-Friend:
If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. Libida.com stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email. Your friend may contact us at contactus@libida.com to request that we remove this information from our database.

When you share:
Libida is founded on the premise that women need to talk about sexuality, so that we can learn from each other's experiences and find out what is right for us -- without judgment. Because sex is such a loaded issue, we know that it can be intimidating to tell your own stories. That's why any quotes, polls, stories or feedback used by Libida will be published anonymously unless you request otherwise. And when you send a question to one of our experts via email, we post your question and our expert's answer only after making sure there is no personally identifiable information about you.

When you browse:
We want to bring you the most relevant information about sex and sexuality that we can. We want you to find the information you need, buy the products you want, and talk about the issues that are important to you. Anonymous user logs are used to help us better understand your needs and develop the Libida website, but this information is never connected to an individual user.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

The security of your personal information is important to us. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card number) on our registration or order forms, we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). To learn more about SSL, see more about SSL here.
