"Lubes have always been a pet peeve of mine. I tried KY once, and I just didn't like how after awhile it started to dry up and form tiny little balls (no joke!). I've tried other more popular water-based lubes, but they always seem too watery and tend to get annoyingly tacky (sticky) and dry up too quickly. There is nothing I hate more than having to stop just to add more lube! I've also tried thicker water-based lubes, and while they succeeded in lasting a long time and not drying up and getting tacky on me, they often felt a bit too thick and not slippery enough. Add add that to the fact that my last girlfriend was allergic to glycerin. And you KNOW I was in dire need of salvation in lube-form! I concluded that what I needed was a "perfect" balance of slipperiness but not too watery, something that doesn't dry up too quickly, something that doesn't get tacky or sticky, something that lasts, something that doesn't ball up, and something that doesn't have glycerin. And so in my search for the "perfect" lube, I happened to have stumbled upon Maximus at Libida.com. I read that it contained no glycerin, so I decided to order it to see if it met my standards. Well, to make a long story short, it so far has met my standards very well! No balling up, not too thick but thick enough that it's not too watery, a good amount of slippage, doesn't dry too soon, doesn't get tacky, and it hasn't caused any allergic reactions! I recommend Maximus for anyone who is just as concerned about lube (and allergic reactions) as I am!"

"On a quest for a lube that would stay slick, but not sticky, and wouldn't take alot of effort to clean off, I tried Maximus. I bought it in a sample kit with Liquid Silk, in trial size bottles. I really liked the fact that it wasn't silicone based, as alot of the longer lasting lubes are. I've tried several of them, and no amount of soap and water left me feeling clean ! With the Maximus though, it washes off much easier, when you're ready for it to! The Liquid Silk, made by the same company, was thinner, and didn't last long at all. Maximus works great!! A little goes along way ! Even works for anal sex, if you're into that!"

"This lube has a good balance of texture: thicker than a liquid but not stiff or tacky like a gel. The taste begins sweet and finishes off slightly bitter, providing good contrast. I like the fact that it does not contain glycerin, which I've recently learned may contribute to vaginal yeast infections. I would point out that persons with sensitivities to propylene glycol should be cautious with this product, as this is one of the main components. Maximus is very slippery and works beautifully with toys! The large size container and handy pump are big pluses. I would buy this product again."
