Dr. Petra Zebroff: Founder, Content and Marketing Manager
Petra received her Doctorate in Human Sexuality from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality and is a sexologist certified by the American College of Sexologists. She has written for Sexlife magazine and belongs to several professional organizations including the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality and Sex Education and Information CAN. Her areas of expertise include sexual health and women and erotica. In addition to her doctorate, Petra holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology (specializing in women's issues), a Masters of Public Health, and special certificates in the areas of Sexology and Erotology.

Dr. Kathleen Van Kirk, Vice President of Content
Kathleen has a Doctorate from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality where she is an Assistant Professor in addition to instructing at various other colleges. Her professional affiliations include: the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists, the Society for the Scientific Study of Sex, and the American Board of Sexologists. Kathleen received a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology and completed a postgraduate degree in Marriage, Family and Addictions Recovery Therapy in 1997. She holds additional certifications in Sex Education and Erotology and runs a private practice. She founded the InstituteforSexualEnrichment.com which provides couples retreats and seminars. She has served as Vice President of Libida.com since 2000 and contributes content to SexualHealth.com and IFriends.com Love and Health Channel. She is also a certified yoga instructor.

Catherine Chang, Designer/Release Engineer/Web Developer
Catherine has worked in the computer industry for the last ten years in roles such as producer for Match.com and JSP/HTML Engineer/Designer at Spafinder.com. She enjoys developing independent websites for musicians and artists and teaching the fiddle to kids.

Darius Archer, Senior Engineer Prior to joining Libida,
Darius developed and maintained intranet data management for the National Center for Supercomputing Applications and consulted for GBA, providing Perl support. In addition, he managed and produced artwork for Weiskamp Screen Printing, as well as performed data management and layout duties for the Greek Guide (a bi-annual directory of fraternities and sororities). Darius also co-founded a consulting and programming firm called Abraxas, Inc.

Karenina Cruz, Office Manager
Karenina worked for Esprit USA (apparel manufacturer) for almost 17 years as a customer service rep, data entry specialist and outlet retail sales employee until sister company Esprit International bought out Esprit USA in 2002. Lucky for us, Karenina parlayed her skills into becoming the resident Customer Service diva here at Libida.

Lisa Palac, Features Contributor Writer and producer Lisa Palac has been covering sexuality, culture, and technology since 1991. She is the author of the critically acclaimed memoir The Edge of the Bed, producer of the 3D audio series Cyborgasm and founding editor of Future Sex magazine. Palac has been involved in online content development since the Web's inception, and has worked as both a producer and host in television and radio. Deb Levine, Contributing Editor
Deb Levine is a health educator on Oxygen Media's Thriveonline, as Delilah, for more than three years. Before that she was Alice of Columbia University's Go Ask Alice Web site. She is the author of the internationally acclaimed book, "The Joy of Cybersex: A Guide for Creative Lovers" (Ballantine 1998), and has been hailed for her innovative use of the Internet to discuss sensitive topics. Dr. Marianna Beck
Marianna Beck, Ph.D., is co-founder of the award-winning journal, Libido: The Journal of Sex and Sensibility. And currently publishes it in an on-line format (www.libidomag.com). Dr. Beck received her undergraduate degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. She received her degree in sexuality in art, literature, film and other cultural artifacts from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco in 1998 where she is also a Professor of Erotology.

Dr. Vern Bullough (Posthumous Acknowledgement)
Vern Bullough is a medical historian who specializes in the history of sex, sexual practices and taboos. He has been a professor at several universities (University of Southern California (USC), Cal State at Northridge) and has written over 50 books, including Sexual Attitudes: Myths & Realities, Human Sexuality: An Encyclopedia, and Frontiers of Sex Research. Dr.Bullough is considered one of sexology's most prolific writers.

Dr. Betty Dodson
Betty Dodson achieved international recognition with three ground breaking erotic art exhibitions before she left the art world to become a feminist activist. In 1974 her groundbreaking book Liberating Masturbation was self-published and became a feminist classic. Her book Sex for One: The Joy of Selfloving, published in 1986, became a Crown Trade Paperback Classic when it was revised in 1996. She received a Ph.D. in sexology from the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in 1992. Dr. Janice M. Epp
Dr. Epp serves as Dean of Students, Director of Specialized Graduate, Academic and Professional Studies at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality. She has held several offices in the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality and remains highly involved. Her specialties include group process and female sexuality. Dr. Patti Fawver
Dr. Patti Fawver has been a board certified sexologist in private practice for nearly a decade. During that time she has conducted numerous seminars to a diverse range of groups as well as provided corporate consultations. She has also been involved in forensic sexology as an expert witness, researcher, and evaluator for the court system. She is a member of the American Academy of Sexologists, American Board of Sexology, American College of Sexologists, and the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. In addition, she is a faculty member at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco, CA.

Dr. Jack Hafferkamp
Jack Hafferkamp co-founded Libido: The Journal of Sex and Sensibility (www.libidomag.com) with Marianna Beck. He has earned a Ph.D. in Erotology, assisted production of Libido¹s Best: Erotic Audio Sex and Sensibility, for Passion Press-written and produced Sexual Ecstasy for Couples: A Lovers Guide to Women's Most Erotic Secrets; co-hosted a weekly radio series; joined the faculty of the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality; and co-written, produced and directed Ecstatic Moments, three stories from Libido. His most recent publication is "Unbanning Books: How the Courts of the United States Came to Extend First Amendment Guarantees to Include Pornography" in Porn 101: Eroticism, Pornography and the First Amendment (Prometheus Books, 1999). His education includes Miami University (BA in Government, 1967), San Francisco State University and the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality (Ph.D.,1998).

Dr. Charles Moser
Charles Moser, Ph.D., M.D, is a sexologist, professor, physician and author of Health Care Without Shame, a manual on talking to your doctor about sex. He is a well-known expert on Sexual Medicine, the intersection of sexuality and medicine. He has published extensively on S/M in scientific literature. He has a B.S. in Physics from SUNY at Stony Brook, an M.S.W from the Univeristy of Washington (Seattle), a Ph.D. in Sexology from the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality (San Francisco), and an M.D from Hahnemann University (Philadelphia). He is Board Certified in Internal medicine. He maintains a private practice in San Francisco.

Dr. Howard Ruppel
Dr. Howard Ruppel has 17 years experience in sexology association management. He is the previous Executive Director of the American Association of Sex Educators, Counselors, and Therapists; the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality; and the Foundation for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. He has taught human sexuality related courses for over 30 years. Dr. Ruppel is the subject of biographical citations in Who's Who in the Americas and Who's Who in the World. He has recently been appointed as the Executive Director of the American College of Sexologists as well as the Chancellor and Academic Dean at the Institute for Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco. David Steinberg David Steinberg is an author, editor, photographer, and publisher of sexual and erotic material. His books include Erotic by Nature: A Celebration of Life, of Love, and of Our Wonderful Bodies and The Erotic Impulse: Honoring the Sensual Self. He is U.S. photo representative for Cupido magazine (Norway/Denmark) and a regular columnist for Spectator magazine. His work has also appeared in such journals as Salon, Playboy, Libido, Boston Phoenix, Los Angeles Weekly, as well as on the www.sexuality.org website. 

Dr. Pega Ren
Dr. Pega Ren has been in private practice in British Columbia since 1988. Registered with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counselors, she holds a Master's degree in Public Health and a doctorate in Sexology. She is board certified as a clinical sexologist by the American College of Sexologists and is a member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality. Dr. Ren is a sessional instructor in the Women's Studies department of Simon Fraser University, and serves as a columnist for several internet sites.
